GCSE Maths In Four Weeks Review

Hi, I’m Julie, wife to Roy and mum to two teenage daughters, so I know first-hand how stressful exam time can be and how challenging it can be to juggle everything, including helping them with their revision. – especially maths!

Today I am going to be taking a look at Pass GCSE Maths in Four Weeks and giving you my honest review of it!

Is it possible to tutor your child, on your own, in Maths GCSE, using this course?

I have always played an active role when it comes to helping my own children with revision and I’ve used lots of different maths revision methods over the years. Some were okay, some were really good, while others were absolute rubbish!

Today I’m going to share with you, one of the best revision resources that I have personally used for maths revision, as I review (warts and all) …How To Pass Maths GCSE in 4 weeks.

I’ve actually used this product with my daughter, so I know first-hand what you’ll get from it.

It’s not perfect, but then what revision course is?

What I can say, is that it definitely helped to cut out a lot of stress and revision time when I used it to help with my own daughter with her maths revision.

Within my review I’ll share with you…

  • What you’ll get
  • What to expect from the program
  • And what I think could be done better

Because I know that, like me, you’ll want the best for your child.

We all do!

So, with that said, set yourself free yourself from any distraction, grab a quick cuppa and let’s crack on with my review.

What You Get

Jeevan Singh’s “Pass Maths GCSE in 4 Weeks” is a downloadable training course that focuses on easier (and quicker) methods to revise for Maths GCSE.

In this programme you will learn how to use the same strategies that Jeevan personally used (and the one that private schools also use by the way) to achieve his A* not only in Maths GCSE, but at ‘A’ level too.

Using the methods he teaches will not only help set your child up for success in maths, but in other exams too.

You will learn how to:

  • Cut revision time in half
  • Make it more efficient
  • And make it More FUN!

By starting at the end as opposed to the beginning.

Following this simple revision twist, your child will become:

  • And more on board for revising

And that’s just some of the reasons why it’s one of the best GCSE maths training courses out there.

What To Expect

Jeevan Sing’s Professional Credentials

Jeevan not only attained an A* in his maths GCSE but also at ‘A’ level too.

He then graduated with a Math’s degree from Kings College London.

He has since gone on to write a number of maths related books as well as ones focusing on passing exams in general. To date he has helped thousands of students to excel at passing their maths exams at school and has built his own tutoring enterprise.

There are many different schools of thought when it comes to revising for exams. There are some who push the “taking notes” approach, whereas others advocate more visual methods.

Within this course Jeevan explains why some of the more traditional approaches to revision and taking exams are not always the most effective revision method. He advocates a different approach to learning; one that will not only cut revision time in half but will also provide students with a much better chance of achieving an A*… Simply by turning the way that most students currently revise, on its head!

Jeevan Sing’s Training Methods

Jeevan Sing’s training is easy to follow and is broken up into segments so that the information can be taken in within manageable chunks, to avoid overload.

The extra shortcuts and videos provided will also help your child to take in the information better, in a way that makes the learning faster, easier and more fun.

Ok, so we now know the main structure of the course, and who created it, so now let’s review the “Pass Maths GCSE in 4 Weeks” in some more detail.

Each module has an introduction page and is laid out in a structured sequence with font that is large and easy to read and understand.

1. HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR TARGET GRADE IN MATHS GCSE IN 4 WEEKS” (199 pages).

This includes everything that you need to know for Maths GCSE and is broken down nicely into individual sections and topics, with foundation tier and higher tier clearly separated.

Foundation tier

The foundation section is covered within 16 separate lessons including lessons on:

  • Averages, pie charts & probability
  • Algebra
  • Pythagoras Theorem, angle & perpendicular bisectors

Higher Tier

The higher tier section consists of a further 16 lessons including lessons covering:

  • Rational & Irrational Numbers and Surds
  • Vectors & Probability
  • Proof

Parent Tip: This module is quite lengthy and contains a lot of information. Be careful not to rush your child’s progress within this section. If he or she is not fully understanding a topic, take it back a step before re -introducing the revision topic.

2. “HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR TARGET GRADE IN HALF THE TIME” (7 pages)

Who wouldn’t want to know how to halve revision time?

And it’s so simple, that once it’s explained, you’ll kick yourself that you weren’t using this method sooner.

Little surprise then that this is how pupils in private schools are trained to revise.

Have you ever heard of Vilfredo Pareto?

He came up with the 80/20 principle.

Which basically means that 80% of your results come from just 20% of your inputs.

Within this section of the training, Jeevan explains the 80/20 rule and how it can be applied to maths (and other revision too) to reduce revision time – by focusing on the 20% bit that most pupils usually leave until the end.

You will be given the EXACT process that you need to follow to achieve this goal.

3. “TRICKS OF THE TRADE – THE MASTER SHORTCUTS”- (30 pages)

Don’t skip this part!

It’s true what they say, if you want to get an A*, find someone who has already achieved this and copy what they did,

And here’s where this comes into play as Jeevan explains quicker and easier ways to tackle maths questions.

The contents are broken down into 30 different examples including easier and quicker ways to:

  • Multiply numbers
  • Fractions of quantity- use my diagram!
  • The quickest way to draw a linear graph

Each of the examples are then explained and broken down into step by step instructions.

4. HOW TO MAXIMISE YOUR RESULT IN EVERY GCSE EXAM (25 pages)

Within this segment of the course, Jeevan shares invaluable tips on how to achieve the best result in EVERY GCSE exam.

The advice within this section is invaluable as it offers revision tips and techniques that apply to all revision including:

  • The most important rule of thumb for revising each subject
  • The best time to start revising
  • The general flow of revision
  • How to reverse engineer to create a feasible schedule
  • How to revise for theory and essay-based subjects
  • How much time should you spend on revision?
  • How to approach the first exam
  • Why memory is the most important factor of your exam success
  • Why motivation is key to your success

5.THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR A MATHS EXAM (22 pages)

Here is a summary of what’s covered in this section.

how to prepare for a maths exam

This contains a valuable insight into other aspects of revising for exams including how the brain works, the different ways of learning information as well as the shocking revelation that the U.K. is towards the BOTTOM of the maths league.

Little wonder that so many children in the U.K. are struggling with maths!

6. EIGHT HOURS OF VIDEO TUTORIALS

This part of the course was practically powerful as it is like having your very own personal tutor in your home.

Watch as Jeevan personally demonstrates, step by step, how to tackle the trickiest Maths GCSE exam questions.

Over a number of years, Jeevan has been collecting past papers and extracting example questions from them which he then tackles within this course.

Pass Maths GCSE in 4 Weeks- The Bits I Feel Could Have Been Better

Okay so now that I’ve covered everything I LIKE about “Pass Maths GCSE in 4 weeks.

However, nothing is perfect so here are a few things that I think could be better:

1. I just covered what I think is good about the video coverage within the course, but sadly there are occasions whereby the sound quality is poor.

It’s not that you can’t hear what Jeevan is saying it’s just that here and there the sound is a bit muffled.

2. The training is quite intense, in that there is a lot of it covered, which can at first glance, be off putting to children.  As I said earlier though, the training is sectioned into small segments, therefore I would strongly recommend breaking it up into small revision sections a bit at a time, to avoid overload.

3. The cover graphics are a bit “boring” and in my opinion could be more appealing.

The first comment that my daughter made after downloading the course was that she didn’t like the appearance of the covers of the course. I have to agree with her, in that it does look a bit basic ,but nevertheless it has to be said that the quality of the content is excellent overall, so this is a minor issue and a perfect example of “not judging a book by its cover!”

4. I would also like to see a Facebook group created so that a community of people, who have purchased the product, could share further tips and ideas with one another as well as asking any questions relating to the course.

There is a Pass Maths GCSE Facebook page, but it is not very active; as a matter of fact, at the time of writing this review, the last post was published over a year ago. I personally think that a Facebook Group would be more beneficial and enticing ,for people who have invested in the course.

5. There are numerous written testimonials included within the product but think video testimonials would be a welcome addition as further proof.

Pass Maths GCSE- What You Will Need To Do

Like most things in life, revision is a two way process. Your child will get out of this course, what they put in.

However, if they invest the time then revision will become…

  • More focused and easier to understand
  • Less time consuming as your child will learn much quicker
  • More FUN!

Conclusion

So, after reading my review on Pass Maths GCSE in Four Weeks, the BIG question is:

Should you buy the course?

I can hand on heart say YES!

Because at a cost of just £37 I cannot stress enough how much of a bargain it REALLY is…

Especially given that if you’re not happy with it you can get your money back anyway…GUARANTEED.

I mean, when you consider that an average maths tutor would cost you anything up to £30+ an hour…then the price of this course is actually less than just 2 private tutoring sessions.

Added to that, the video segment alone is over 8 hours…So that in itself would cost over £200 when hiring a private tutor.

But as well as the price, I recommend Jeevan’s training for even more IMPORTANT reasons…

  • It helps children of any ability and background to achieve better grades.
  • Jeevan is highly qualified in his field and shares some insider tips on how he got to achieve his own A*s.
  • The course is designed to help your child progress in a more fun and challenging way.
  • There is heaps of training covering all aspect of Maths GCSE which is broken up into easily digestible chunks.
  • The information is easy to follow and to understand, even for parents or pupils who struggle with maths.
  • The training is presented in many different formats (including video) in order to appeal to all learning preferences.
  • There are also handy shortcuts as well as unique tips on how to revise and pass ALL GCSE exams.

I could go on and on, but I’m sure that you get my drift.

Admittedly, as I stated earlier, there are a few things that I would change, here and there, to make it even better, but they are minor when you take into account the enormous amount of invaluable advice and tips that Jeevan shares within this course.

Over the years I have used numerous revision aids for maths and other GCSE’s but have struggled to get through most of them as the information was presented in such a overly intellectual way. Jeevan’s training, on the other hand, is straightforward and easier to grasp.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to improve their child’s grade in Maths GCSE (and other exams) and wanting to make revision more structured, less time consuming and more rewarding!
